Adoptions

We are committed to never returning a dog that we have rescued to a shelter whenever possible.  Any dog that we adopt that is not suited for training, or washes out of training, will be posted here in the hopes of finding them a forever home.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please send us a message here, or contact Kathy Rider at: kathy.rider@vadogs.org.

"A dog that fails in training isn't a failure, they are just needed elsewhere."

Callie found a forever home!

Our herding girl Callie has found a home with the Evans family.  She has a playmate at home, now.

Gauge and his new family.

Gauge is officially happy and healthy in his new home. They have a trainer friend who lives across the street and is going to help them with his new tasks and temperament issues. Ron's left side does not work and when he falls he needs help shifting back to his right side. So although not a full service-dog, a dog that has a full service for his new owner.

Hayle

Hayle turned out to be allergic to grass. She was adopted by a military family.
